playing catch up

So I haven't posted in forever! Well... life is good! I LOVE working at Lowe's! I love the people, the job, the customers! It's way better than expected! Things with Jordan are good! Nothing really new there, but I'm really happy with him. Big news! The In N Out in Orem opens on the 19th! I've never been a huge fan, but recently I've been craving it!!
What are my plans for the winter, you ask? Well, I am going home around the 18th of December for Christmas and then I am just staying home! I am feeling super lonely right now because Jordan was super busy this week so I am really looking forward to home! To living with people! Being apart from Jordan will suck, but I think it'll be good. I can save way more at home! Hopefully I can transfer to a Lowe's at home and I'll pick up as many other jobs with as many hours as I can to keep myself busy.
I love you all and miss you so much!! So so much!

New job...

One day, I am thinking about what I am going to do in the winter (fake mom is having a baby in February so I’ll leaving by Christmas for sure). I was thinking seriously about coming home. I came here to see how things go with Jordan. Things are great and so I could go home and save up a lot more there than here.
The next day, I’m at Lowes and long story short, this guy says his company is looking for people like me and gets my name and number for an interview. I was busy helping people so I didn’t even ask where he worked or anything. Haha.
He calls, we set up an interview, I go. It’s Primerica. They help people get a retirement through investments...I don’t really get it but I’ll tell you when I know! I start training to be a financial planner this week… Seriously. I don’t really know what it will be like, but the guy said just give him a week and he’ll show me that I’ll like it and do a good job at it so I’m trying it out. I pick my own hours and they claim I’ll make quite a bit. I’ll go around to appointments with the guy that found me at Lowes and then I also go into the office and study for my license test. Ya I’ll be a legit licensed financial planner! CRAZY. So I quit Kohls (I had my mornings set aside for them but they only gave a few hours so I was working every night at Lowes for no reason) so I’ll just have like 30 hours at Lowes to try to work around.

My family is coming up this weekend for conference! I’m so excited to see them! I’m a little homesick after making hard decisions on my own and sometimes not seeing anyone other than the people at work. It is lonely sometimes! So ya, super excited.

Things with Jordan are so good! I went to a fireside with him last Sunday at his old mission president’s house with a bunch of guys he served with. They all had a girl with them. It was a little awkward I thought, but fun too. We are still just enjoying dating and not rushing into anything anytime soon!

I also went to the Brad Paisley and Dierks Bentley concert last weekend with my cousin in law Kira and a couple of her friends! I also randomly ran into some girls from back home so it was a ton of fun!! The concert was good but it was so fun to see some familiar faces!

I miss you guys. So so much. Maybe I came home from a hard day of work Friday. Maybe I just wanted to curl up on the couch and complain to you. Maybe no one was awake so I just cried in bed. I really miss you all!
Love you!!

days past...

So maybe I forget my blogger password for a little bit! haha. But I remembered last night as I was going to bed! :) I am working! I work at Lowes (kind of hard, lot to learn, good job though, good pay and benefit package) and Kohls (super easy, kind of boring already, okay pay). I work in American Fork, about 20 minutes south of my house. I saw Jordan a lot the last couple weeks and things are going well, but already it's getting hard with me working to find time to go down. But we are still talking a lot. I'm very happy! I may look for a cheap apartment in Orem or Provo in the next couple months and there is both a Lowes and a Kohls in Orem so that would be so nice! But hopefully I can just go full time at Lowes! That'd be great! But for now, I'm still with the fake fam. Life is good. Can't really complain! I love you miss you guys!

FakeFamily

So I’m all settled in the new house. I am enjoying myself and everything is going really well so far. Draper, UT is the most boring place on earth…maybe it’s just because I don’t know anyone besides my fake family, and, let’s be honest, I don’t even really know them! But so far, I really like my Ffamily.
Fdad is 35, works for the government, the nicest guy, treats his wife and family so well, and very attractive. ;)
Fmom is 33, is 3 months prego with number 3, nice and easy to talk to.
Fbrother, Trendon, is 10, likes to be wherever I am (nice to get some human interation, so I don’t mind), helps around the house a lot, kind of reserved.
Fbrother 2, Brex (or maybe Brax), 8 years old, super cute, he’s never really around, fights with his brother a lot, and never stops moving.
So that’s the fake family. I have a super nice room, lots of space. The fakes don’t have wireless internet, big downfall. I’m going to the family ward with them today, but I think I am going to ask their bishop where singles ward is…I really need friends! Job search is going well. I’ve applied at a few places and I have a ton of applications to take back Monday.

The trip was great! I’m so glad we all were able to go…except when Syd ditched us in Vegas. We missed you!! Mikey, mom said you left you swim suit and someone else (Brittney?) left a robe. Thanks for coming to my house and letting me take you around! I love you girls and can’t wait to see you! Mikey…move now!
Love you! Lil Meg

P.S. Hey blog stalkers! I’ve been a blog stalker for about a year probably, but now that I have blog stalkers, kind of don’t like it! Hypocritical? Maybe. 

future

I've seen this kid everyday for the last three weeks. Everyday. It's been so much fun, I can not even put it into words. These pictures are from right after he was released...like right outside the stake president's office. :) I love these! He left today and I won't see him for a week and a half, maybe even two weeks. It seems like he's been home for so long now, and I know after two years, a couple weeks should be nothing, but, I still don't want to be apart. I guess that's a good sign! I'm scared for Utah because I don't know how much we will see each other. He is taking hard classes, has a season pass to all sports on campus, is joining at least one inter mural sports team, is trying to get a job, and I live almost a half hour away. I actually even thought about not going because of that but I know that's where I'm supposed to be.

I'm done being the whinny girlfriend and I will not be like this on the trip!! I promise! I am almost all packed to move/go to Vegas! I am so so so excited to see you all! I love you and have safe flights! I will see you tomorrow!!!
XOXOXO

jealous much?

I am so excited to see you all! Syd pointed out that no one actually reads blogs anymore, but I am still writing to you...because if not to you, then to who? This trip is going to be awesome! Here we are planning on LA (cheap shopping), Hollywood (The star walkway), Huntington Library (HUGE gardens Beth wants to see), possibly San Diego (To see Jana and go to some cool museums), and the beach (since Kayla's never been in the ocean)... It'll be fun.

Good night!

Hero Sunday

http://nieniedialogues.blogspot.com/2009/08/me.html

Stephanie finally posted a picture of herself. I don't understand how she could go out in public. She is truly a hero of mine. Being a mother is her number one priority and she rarely ever gets too down about the things she can't do or the way she looks. Amazing.

He loves me...

...he told me so. :)

I love you and miss you all,
Little Meagan

crazy days

Saturday...
We had my grandpa, Bumpa's 90th birthday party on Saturday! It was so fun! It was a diet coke theme because he LOVES diet coke. We had almost all the cousins, aunts and uncles there! We had it at the church because there was 50 people so we couldn't fit them in our house!
It was so much for to see everyone! They made a slide show of pictures of Bumpa from when he was little to more recent pictures with his kids and grandkids. It was adorable and I sat next to Darling and Bumpa. When they showed pictures from their wedding he kissed her on the cheek and was crying. I want a love like that.

Sunday...
Jordan gave his homecoming talk and did a great job! Bishop called to talk to my dad later that night and I answered. He said, "Your boy did a good job!" I was stumbling on my words so badly! I had no idea how to respond! haha.

Monday...
My parents, McCall, Zach, Jordan, and I went to Lake Mead. We got there and drove out to a cove. We got out to go swimming and Jordan and Zach decided to cliff jump. Call and I tried to convince them not to, but they went anyway. Zach jumped, no biggie. Jordan jumped and he landed a little crooked and hit the side of his chest pretty hard on the water. It knocked the wind out of him so I swam over to him. He was breathing again but started coughing up blood and bleeding out of his nose! I started yelling for my parents to drive to boat over to us but Jordan was swimming okay and talking to me. We got in the boat and he stopped bleeding. It was a little difficult for him to breathe so we waited a bit to see if he felt better or if we should take him in. I broke down. I have a hard time in water still, and this did not help. It was so hard to put myself back together. We took him to the hospital and mom and I waited in the waiting room while the others stayed on the boat. Guess what was wrong... Pick the most random dignosis you can think of... Did you guess pneumonia? If so, you are right!! The fal just knocked crap loose and made his lungs mad so he coughed up blood. Crazy huh? I was so scared for a while but he turned out to be fine!!
Jordan had a bit of a cold a few days after he got home and gave it to me. Well his cold was really pneumonia and yesterday it started getting hard for me to breathe too. Something catches in my chest when I take a deep breath so I just cough. I am going to the doctor too because I most likely have pneimonia too.

The rest of the trip was fun. I got pretty burnt on my shoulders, but everywhere else is good. Have you ever wondered if I can do the splits? Well, I can! I don't know what happened but one foot got out of the ski and got pulled back and the other one kept going forward. Splits! Then I fell. My groin is so sore. We slolemn skiied, wake boarded, and tubed. It was a good trip.

random pictures

Mikey's graduation dinner!

So I have been really terrible lately with uploading pictures but all of them are on FB. Well, not all but most. You can thank me later.

See, Squid really did come visit me!! :)

I have decided to wait before I put more pictures with Jordan on my facebook. I just want to keep it out of the spotlight until I am more sure of what is gong on. But you still have to hear all about him on here!
At his brother's eagle scout court of honor. We talked him into wearing these shorts! SO funny! His dad was pretty mad! My shirt dress... adorable. Serisouly. I'll wear it on the trip and you'll see.
Me, Jordan, Parker, Caitlin, McCall, Zach... Parker's 16th is tomorrow so we told him if he asked Cailtin out, we'd triple! This really is bizzare!

Life is good. Crazy, but good. Tonight was the court of honor, tomorrow is my grandpa's (Bumpa) 90th birthday party and Jordan's cousin's baptism that he is speaking at, and then Sunday is his home coming talk and lots of his family's stuff. Then Monday early we are leaving for the lake! Can't wait! Our trip is coming right up!!! LOVE YOU!!
Love, lil meg

little laughs

~in the car
Caitlin: Meg, you still want like 24 kids?
Me: Umm, yeah, 6?
C: Uh, you know where babies come out, right?
M:Umm... you know how babies are made, right?

~swimming at my pool
Jordan: Parker, let's race!
Parker: Done, but let me tighten my shorts!
J: (Both start messing with their short's tie) I don't need these slowing me down! (rips off shorts and is standing there in a white speedo that says Brasil with a flag)
...later...
Me: The only thing more impressive than your confidence to wear a speedo is that you are whiter than the speedo!

~men's suit store with jane
Sales Lady: Are you excited to go back to school?
Me: I go to school in Idaho and I don't go back for a while.
SL: What school?
M:Brigham Young University Idaho
SL: COLLEGE?
M: Yes.
SL: I thought you were 13 or 14! You know, young kids can be so big these days!
M: (mumble) Is that a fat joke?
SL: Excuse me?
M: haha...nothing.

~tonight at my house
Jordan: What did you think would be different about when I got home? How do you think things are going?
Me: I'm not having this conversation yet!
J: Wait! Wha...What conversation?
M: Exactly.

~jordan's house
Jordan's Mom: Anything amazing and fun happen today?
Me: My roommate, Kayla, called me!
JM: You do realize that your only roommate is Caitlin, right?
M: .... Umm, no. So anyway...

Cold in August

I am sick. Good timing, right? Jordan had a little bit of a cold right after he got home and he gave it to me. His was not that bad and he was over it in two days. I got it and I was so miserable-achy, feverish, sneezing, runny nose-today! I just stayed home today and tried to rest. I am all drugged up and about to go to sleep...yes, before nine! haha. Tomorrow we have a fun date planned.

Next Monday and Tuesday my parents, McCall and I are going to the lake. Our boys are coming too. This could get awkward, but I'm way excited for the lake and I think it will be fun.

I miss you guys so much. I still don't think I've excepted the fact that we are all not moving back in together in a few weeks. Bizarre.

I need a Beth hug.

All my love,
Little Meagan

P.S. Funny speedo story to come, but I need to sneeze so I need to get tissues, so it will have to wait.

the weekend

Jordan...
He is great. He has a funny accent. He likes to hold my hand or have his arm around me all the time. (I'm me. I love cuddling) We finally went to see Harry Potter last night. Also our first time being alone for more than two minutes. The conversation was okay. It's hard to know where to start but once we are together longer, we can talk about life now, and then he can talk mission and I can talk more about...you. The chemistry, freak, it's so there. I had my hand on his knee and was just rubbing and tickling it. He kept kissing me on the cheek until he finally just held that hand. It was making me laugh because I could tell it was making him CRAZY! ahah. :)

Sydney...
Yay! Sydney came down to see me. I told her to come to Huntington State Beach between stations 7 and 9 by a place called Jack's. After going to the city beach, and then Zack's at stations 17 and 19, we just walked on the boardwalk until we saw each other. Maybe we screamed and gave a super super long hug and said we should have invited Mikey to take our adorable picture. haha. We didn't stay too long after Syd got there but we introduced to her Cronic Taco and she met the boy! I loved seeing my Squid at the beach! :) When I find my camera chord, I
ll put our pictures on.

You...
I miss you guys and I am so excited to see you all soon! So I told you all you would meet Jordan... He leaves for school the 20 so we will miss him, but I don't think you will be that torn up about it. We could even stop in Provo and say hi. :) I wish i could have gone to the rodeo with you. I wish even more that you were just here already!

Love you the most,
Lil Meg

The big post

I went to the Robbin's house at 9:30 and Jordan's flight was supposed to get in at 10:10. We got to the airport at 10 so we ran in and we had our signs unrolled and ready! We waited until 10:15 when Jordan's dad checked the flight schedules and saw that his plane was delayed until 11:40. haha. So Jordan's family left and went to the grocery store to get some things Jordan mentioned he wanted and took the groceries home. I was in his aunt's car with she and some kids and his grandparents so we just went to Target to get a drink (by the way his parents and aunt do not drink caffeine and really don't like soda too much in general, so I chickened out on Diet Dr Pepper and went with bottled water). So we went back and got there a little after 11 and were just hanging out. His aunt, Wendy, and I were cracking jokes and messing around. I was nervous, but mostly excited! Then they announced his flight had arrived and his family still wasn't there!

We saw him and he waved and started to come down the escalator and was kind of looking around for his parents and siblings. Wendy and I were cracking up that his family missed it, but they came running in a few seconds later before he even got off the escalator. Very funny. He gave everyone else big hugs and we were joking about the hand shake. We had to repeat it three times for everyone to get their picture! He was talking to everyone and it was seriously just normal!

We went to In n Out right after and I felt bad for him because everyone was hounding him with lots of dumb questions like who has changed the most and stuff. He was a good sport though. He would be talking to someone and he would look at me and just smile or wink...I kind of melted! After that, he was released at the stake president's office and we were all just kind of hanging out as we were leaving and he said, "Do you want a hug?" and opened his arms. I got a great big hug! His mom made us hug again...for a picture! haha. All day we would walk too close by my so he would brush my arm or something. And he kept giving me cute little hugs.

His parents did not tell him that his house was burnt and they are moving so they drove by his old house and to his new one. He was so confused. I felt pretty badly for him! He kept telling me the moving was not on the original plans for the first week and stuff. Tonight he was looking for pants so he could change. He literally has no pants or shorts. They must have burned. He was pretty stressed out at the end of the day. But his brothers and some friends were going to play basketball and then football. He is already so tired and had been up for 30 hours when he first got home at 11! Jordan asked if I want to go watch football later because a whole group goes, so I think I will.

It was seriously so much better than I ever imagined. It is like I dropped him off at the airport yesterday and picked him up today...with a funny accent! It’s just like when he left…except more exciting! It is so good to be with him! It is amazing! I'm kind of floating. Love you guys!!

Here comes the sun. do do do do.

I can't sleep. I went to bed pretty easily around eleven last night. Six this morning comes around and I'm wide awake!! haha. Feeling...anxious. Two years went by fast. But seemed like forever.

I see Jordan in three hours.

Kayla and I texted back six or seven times yesterday. Then she called me too. It must be a big day! But she's been there since month five...of twenty four. Holy cow.

My thoughts are a little scattered! haha.

Love you and miss you,
Lil meg

Red Robbin. We went to Red Robbin the weekend after it opened for my birthday. We had to wait SO long to even be seated! It was so fun though! And I got my magical Horkley's card and a giraffe cake! It was such a great birthday! Thanks guys!

asian crotch

I got a mani/pedi with my mom and Call today after we got our hair done (I live a hard life). The man (ew) who did my nails scooted his chair up so close to the arm rest thing, that if I moved an inch toward him, we would have been VERY good friends, very quickly. haha. Oh my! And the lady who was dong my pedicure was wearing a white skirt and was spread eagle. It took the entire time to get the courage to look down. She was wearing spandex. I've never been so grateful for spandex.
Love,
Lil Meg

P.S. Jordan comes home tomorrow as you all know. I don't really know how I am feeling. Not really nervous, but too scared of being excited. I'll most likely post tomorrow night with details.

P.S.S. Julie and Jeremy broke up. Mostly a mission thing and his parents wanted him to focus.

P.S.S.S. I miss you sooooosoooosoooo much.

SUCK IT BETH! hahaha

Just today.

I woke up at 7am, California time. I don't know why; just couldn't sleep anymore so I brought my computer upstairs to sit on the bean bag we are babysitting for the Robbins and cuddling with my favorite blanket. (I love Beth's sheet blanket. The love sack smells like fire though.) Now I think I'll go for a run. Or at least a walk. What is wrong with me? I guess my iron levels are good! :) Mikey your boat day/slumber party sounds amazing. Wish I could be there.

Photo of me by Mikalyn Breshears

Maybe I'll just start walking back. Or take a train. Or hitchhike.

Love and miss you,
Lil Meg

P.S. Jordan comes home tomorrow! It's so crazy! I went by his burnt house. It's sad. But his family got a rental house literally 3 houses away! So I have the feeling I'm going to be moving boxes for the next few days...yay... haha.

509 memory...
Watching American Idol! I have never religiously followed a tv show before Idol! I got way too into it and I should probably never get that into tv again! But it was fun to do once...and let's face it, I'll probably do it again next season! (Freak ya, Kris won!! Just sayin'...) But now in my Amish house, I don't even miss tv. It's nice.

home...ish

Wow. Long journey back to Upland. The Sidekick had a tire blow out on the freeway when we were towing it near Filmore, UT. It tore through the fender at the bottom so we had to duct tape it on to the car. Classy. It was a quick twenty minute fix other than that. My dad decided to take a detour to Bryce Canyon (by detour, I mean go completely in the wrong direction for a few hours). It was so pretty and I have never been there before so it was worth it. In a parking lot, my dad looked back at the SK and saw that the cable connecting the lights (running, turn signals, break lights...) was ripped apart. It was getting dark quickly, so dad tried to fix it, but was unsuccessful. We went to a few gas stations to look for the parts we needed, but with no success. So we started the SK and turned on the running lights and drove to Kanab, almost two hours away. We got a hotel there and woke up this morning and drove home.
I start to take all of my clothes and junk into my room, only to see that Caitlin had completely taken over my room. MY room. (Okay, so there are only two kid rooms and three of us, so it makes sense that the two college kids would share, but seriously, it is so cluttered with bins and extra storage and...stuff). So the fix is that I am going to box up the coat closet in the hall, and put all of the stuff I need in there, and all the stuff I am just going to store here will be down at my dad's shop. Yeah. Cool. I am not that upset because I'd rather have my own space than try to fit too much in the room for just a couple weeks and then try to sort it all our again. Just a couple weeks.
It still scares me how much I am okay with only being here for a couple weeks. I love being home. No one understands me like mom. Or at least no one used to. I'd like to think you guys think I'm as cool as she does. (hahha) The Lord's hand is in everything.
My mom just came back from visiting her mom, Darling, who lives half a mile away. She is 86 I think and had terrible terrible arthritis. She is in so much pain and my mom, in a very gentle kind way, was trying to tell me how bad she is. I don't know how much longer she will be here. I can't deal with that right now. At least not on my own.

Oh, the joys of being back home...home? In Upland.

Love ya,
Lil Meg

The trip

Today was day two of Yellowstone with the family. It has been fun to be with the family and we have seen a ton of really interesting places and gone on a ton of really cool hikes. I am beat and ready to be done soon which is good because today was the last full day in Yellowstone. Tomorrow we are going to do a hike here in the morning and then we are off to Jackson Hole to do a river float and then Bar Js Wranglers for dinner and we will stay in IF. Then Rexburg Sunday morning...then home! I am excited to get home! Even more excited to take all of you there soon!

Love you!
lil meg
P.S. McCall was making her water polo team friendship braclets, so I am making you guys one too

The salsa. Haha, I really laugh out loud when I think about how much salsa Lance made! It was so good and I thought we ate a lot of it, but I think we had that in the fridge for over a month! It made all the other food in the fridge taste like onion and peppers! haha. Yum!

The first post

I've been a professional blog stalker for about a year now, so it is a little weird that I have my own blog now! I am not going to lie, I'm a little stoked to have an excuse to start a blog!

As this semester comes to a close, my feelings are so conflicting. I can not wait for finals and classes to be over! I am looking forward to seeing my parents and McCall and go on a mini vacation with them to Yellowstone. It will be so fun to go home to see Caitlin and my friends and puppy, Coco. I am so excited to see Jordan after two years and excited to find out what will happen there.
I, also, feel like I never want to leave because I know this apartment can never complete again. We were brought together to be the for each other in all of the good times in our lives. Most of all, we are going to be family in the bad times. We have experienced more heart ache in the last month than any of us could have imagined. I am so grateful to Beth and our Heavenly Father for the chance to know Lance Jensen! He was such a rock in the gospel and always had his priorities straight, with the Lord being first. Through all the ache, we were brought together and unified, making us sisters for life! I love you girls and can't wait for our visits!

509 memory...
One of my favorite nights with 509 is when we surprised Beth cool little presents wrapped in taco bell wrappers, newspapers, and other random paper items for her birthday. We wore GORGEOUS 80's dresses to Bambinos and then we went to the movies. After that, a bunch of Beth's family and friends came over for cake so we all tried to wipe off our make up and comb out our huge hair. We all looked ridiculous! It was so funny!

Love, Little Meg
