The big post

I went to the Robbin's house at 9:30 and Jordan's flight was supposed to get in at 10:10. We got to the airport at 10 so we ran in and we had our signs unrolled and ready! We waited until 10:15 when Jordan's dad checked the flight schedules and saw that his plane was delayed until 11:40. haha. So Jordan's family left and went to the grocery store to get some things Jordan mentioned he wanted and took the groceries home. I was in his aunt's car with she and some kids and his grandparents so we just went to Target to get a drink (by the way his parents and aunt do not drink caffeine and really don't like soda too much in general, so I chickened out on Diet Dr Pepper and went with bottled water). So we went back and got there a little after 11 and were just hanging out. His aunt, Wendy, and I were cracking jokes and messing around. I was nervous, but mostly excited! Then they announced his flight had arrived and his family still wasn't there!

We saw him and he waved and started to come down the escalator and was kind of looking around for his parents and siblings. Wendy and I were cracking up that his family missed it, but they came running in a few seconds later before he even got off the escalator. Very funny. He gave everyone else big hugs and we were joking about the hand shake. We had to repeat it three times for everyone to get their picture! He was talking to everyone and it was seriously just normal!

We went to In n Out right after and I felt bad for him because everyone was hounding him with lots of dumb questions like who has changed the most and stuff. He was a good sport though. He would be talking to someone and he would look at me and just smile or wink...I kind of melted! After that, he was released at the stake president's office and we were all just kind of hanging out as we were leaving and he said, "Do you want a hug?" and opened his arms. I got a great big hug! His mom made us hug again...for a picture! haha. All day we would walk too close by my so he would brush my arm or something. And he kept giving me cute little hugs.

His parents did not tell him that his house was burnt and they are moving so they drove by his old house and to his new one. He was so confused. I felt pretty badly for him! He kept telling me the moving was not on the original plans for the first week and stuff. Tonight he was looking for pants so he could change. He literally has no pants or shorts. They must have burned. He was pretty stressed out at the end of the day. But his brothers and some friends were going to play basketball and then football. He is already so tired and had been up for 30 hours when he first got home at 11! Jordan asked if I want to go watch football later because a whole group goes, so I think I will.

It was seriously so much better than I ever imagined. It is like I dropped him off at the airport yesterday and picked him up today...with a funny accent! It’s just like when he left…except more exciting! It is so good to be with him! It is amazing! I'm kind of floating. Love you guys!!

Here comes the sun. do do do do.

I can't sleep. I went to bed pretty easily around eleven last night. Six this morning comes around and I'm wide awake!! haha. Feeling...anxious. Two years went by fast. But seemed like forever.

I see Jordan in three hours.

Kayla and I texted back six or seven times yesterday. Then she called me too. It must be a big day! But she's been there since month five...of twenty four. Holy cow.

My thoughts are a little scattered! haha.

Love you and miss you,
Lil meg

Red Robbin. We went to Red Robbin the weekend after it opened for my birthday. We had to wait SO long to even be seated! It was so fun though! And I got my magical Horkley's card and a giraffe cake! It was such a great birthday! Thanks guys!

asian crotch

I got a mani/pedi with my mom and Call today after we got our hair done (I live a hard life). The man (ew) who did my nails scooted his chair up so close to the arm rest thing, that if I moved an inch toward him, we would have been VERY good friends, very quickly. haha. Oh my! And the lady who was dong my pedicure was wearing a white skirt and was spread eagle. It took the entire time to get the courage to look down. She was wearing spandex. I've never been so grateful for spandex.
Love,
Lil Meg

P.S. Jordan comes home tomorrow as you all know. I don't really know how I am feeling. Not really nervous, but too scared of being excited. I'll most likely post tomorrow night with details.

P.S.S. Julie and Jeremy broke up. Mostly a mission thing and his parents wanted him to focus.

P.S.S.S. I miss you sooooosoooosoooo much.

SUCK IT BETH! hahaha

Just today.

I woke up at 7am, California time. I don't know why; just couldn't sleep anymore so I brought my computer upstairs to sit on the bean bag we are babysitting for the Robbins and cuddling with my favorite blanket. (I love Beth's sheet blanket. The love sack smells like fire though.) Now I think I'll go for a run. Or at least a walk. What is wrong with me? I guess my iron levels are good! :) Mikey your boat day/slumber party sounds amazing. Wish I could be there.

Maybe I'll just start walking back. Or take a train. Or hitchhike.

Love and miss you,
Lil Meg

P.S. Jordan comes home tomorrow! It's so crazy! I went by his burnt house. It's sad. But his family got a rental house literally 3 houses away! So I have the feeling I'm going to be moving boxes for the next few days...yay... haha.

Watching American Idol! I have never religiously followed a tv show before Idol! I got way too into it and I should probably never get that into tv again! But it was fun to do once...and let's face it, I'll probably do it again next season! (Freak ya, Kris won!! Just sayin'...) But now in my Amish house, I don't even miss tv. It's nice.

home...ish

Wow. Long journey back to Upland. The Sidekick had a tire blow out on the freeway when we were towing it near Filmore, UT. It tore through the fender at the bottom so we had to duct tape it on to the car. Classy. It was a quick twenty minute fix other than that. My dad decided to take a detour to Bryce Canyon (by detour, I mean go completely in the wrong direction for a few hours). It was so pretty and I have never been there before so it was worth it. In a parking lot, my dad looked back at the SK and saw that the cable connecting the lights (running, turn signals, break lights...) was ripped apart. It was getting dark quickly, so dad tried to fix it, but was unsuccessful. We went to a few gas stations to look for the parts we needed, but with no success. So we started the SK and turned on the running lights and drove to Kanab, almost two hours away. We got a hotel there and woke up this morning and drove home.
I start to take all of my clothes and junk into my room, only to see that Caitlin had completely taken over my room. MY room. (Okay, so there are only two kid rooms and three of us, so it makes sense that the two college kids would share, but seriously, it is so cluttered with bins and extra storage and...stuff). So the fix is that I am going to box up the coat closet in the hall, and put all of the stuff I need in there, and all the stuff I am just going to store here will be down at my dad's shop. Yeah. Cool. I am not that upset because I'd rather have my own space than try to fit too much in the room for just a couple weeks and then try to sort it all our again. Just a couple weeks.
It still scares me how much I am okay with only being here for a couple weeks. I love being home. No one understands me like mom. Or at least no one used to. I'd like to think you guys think I'm as cool as she does. (hahha) The Lord's hand is in everything.
My mom just came back from visiting her mom, Darling, who lives half a mile away. She is 86 I think and had terrible terrible arthritis. She is in so much pain and my mom, in a very gentle kind way, was trying to tell me how bad she is. I don't know how much longer she will be here. I can't deal with that right now. At least not on my own.

Oh, the joys of being back home...home? In Upland.

Love ya,
Lil Meg

Swim meets! I did swim team for the school for the first time! I knew how boring swim meets were and how much I hated having to go to swim meets, even when I was in them because they are so long and uneventful! It totally made my day when you guys came!

The salsa. Haha, I really laugh out loud when I think about how much salsa Lance made! It was so good and I thought we ate a lot of it, but I think we had that in the fridge for over a month! It made all the other food in the fridge taste like onion and peppers! haha. Yum!

The first post

I've been a professional blog stalker for about a year now, so it is a little weird that I have my own blog now! I am not going to lie, I'm a little stoked to have an excuse to start a blog!

As this semester comes to a close, my feelings are so conflicting. I can not wait for finals and classes to be over! I am looking forward to seeing my parents and McCall and go on a mini vacation with them to Yellowstone. It will be so fun to go home to see Caitlin and my friends and puppy, Coco. I am so excited to see Jordan after two years and excited to find out what will happen there.
I, also, feel like I never want to leave because I know this apartment can never complete again. We were brought together to be the for each other in all of the good times in our lives. Most of all, we are going to be family in the bad times. We have experienced more heart ache in the last month than any of us could have imagined. I am so grateful to Beth and our Heavenly Father for the chance to know Lance Jensen! He was such a rock in the gospel and always had his priorities straight, with the Lord being first. Through all the ache, we were brought together and unified, making us sisters for life! I love you girls and can't wait for our visits!

509 memory...
One of my favorite nights with 509 is when we surprised Beth cool little presents wrapped in taco bell wrappers, newspapers, and other random paper items for her birthday. We wore GORGEOUS 80's dresses to Bambinos and then we went to the movies. After that, a bunch of Beth's family and friends came over for cake so we all tried to wipe off our make up and comb out our huge hair. We all looked ridiculous! It was so funny!

Love, Little Meg
